Elegant oil on canvas painting of vases, plates and cups in a vaguely suggested interior, executed in an elegant minimalist palette of whites and grays with a touch of blue and tan, 26 1/2" by 35 1/2" , 33 1/2" by 42 1/2" in likely original framing of oak with faux worm holes and fine linen/gold leaf fillets, by listed California painter CAROL ROSENAK (1925-2002). This is a very attractive modernist work that should prove a fine addition to a contemporary or mid century setting. Rosenak was from Chicago and was educated in art there. By 1972 she was living and working in Ventura, California where she established a fine reputation in the Southern California art community, exhibiting at many local venues including the Laguna Beach Art Museum and Ventura County Museum. Both painting and frame, fresh from a local Brentwood estate, are in excellent condition. SEE HUNDREDS OF OTHER WORKS OF ART NOW IN MY SHOP.
