Watercolor on paper painting of a boat in a harbor, 13" by 21" inside the mat, 20" by 28" as framed, signed at lower right and bearing the artist's name and Fremont, California address on the reverse. The artist is SALLY INOUYE (1927-2010). I do not see a standard "listing", but came up with the following information from google, taken from her obituary online: "Sally Misaye Inouye July 31, 1927 - June 18, 2010 Sally Misaye Inouye, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 18, 2010 at Kaiser Hospital in Fremont, CA. She was born and raised in the farming community of Florin in Sacramento, CA on July 31, 1927, to Yuichi and Ichiyo Mizoguchi. She met her husband, Ted Inouye, while working at the US Geological Survey in Sacramento. They later settled in Fremont, CA where she lived in the same house for over 50 years. Sally raised three daughters, earned a B.A. in Fine Arts from California State University, San Jose and an A.A. in Early Childhood Development from Ohlone Junior College after moving to Fremont. She was affiliated with the Marin and Santa Clara Watercolor Associations, and the Japanese American Citizens League. She worked for many years as a Preschool teacher in Fremont, CA and was known to many children as Miss Sally. She also taught children's art classes during the summer. Her interests included her grandchildren, pets, art, music, trips to Reno, puzzles and gardening. In her later years she became an avid Giants baseball fan." The artist was obviously skilled and familiar with California Scene watercolor painting. Condition is excellent and this is ready to hang on the wall.
