Oil on canvasboard, 24" by 20", 29 1/2" by 25 1/2" as framed, signed at lower right corner by the noted New England impressionist painter, PAULINE BLISS WILLIAMS (1888-1962). Williams was known for her coastals, landscapes, portraits and still lifes, usually in a painterly impressionist hand. She studied at the Art Students League in New York and subsequently exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, Brooklyn Society of Artists, and the North Shore Art Association. Works appear at often with some frequency, in New England. This painting was purchased in Massachusetts. Condition is good with no problems. The framing is uninspired and tired. A new frame would work wonders on this colorful still life work. SEE HUNDREDS OF OTHER WORKS OF ART NOW IN MY SHOP.
