Watercolor on paper painting of creamy roses, 17 3/4" by 14 1/2" as simply framed, signed at lower right "Vivian E. Tiedemann" and dated there 1907. This is a typical turn-of-the-century work by an amateur artist, though, a skilled amateur. Such watercolor paintings of roses were popular in the Victorian era and even into the early new century, artists continued to paint them in oil and watercolor. This example is in excellent condition. It would make a fine addition to a shabby chic type interior. .
