Watercolor on heavy paper painting of an arid landscape in the Southwest, including a distant mountain, barbed wire fencing at a dirt crossroads, and fading evening clouds, 14" by 17 1/2" as framed in a faux burl, apparently unsigned. When I first saw the image I was reminded of some of the watercolor art of Peter Hurd---scenes he painted of New Mexico. There's no evidence that he painted this one, but perhaps the artist was inspired by Hurd's imagery. The watercolor is in excellent condition and it's ready for the wall.
