The exact title of this particular print escapes me at the moment, as the title was trimmed off in the past. I have previously seen it elsewhere and recall that title as "Scenes Along the Hudson" or something similar. It's a shame that it was trimmed because the hand coloring on this particular example is fresh and unusually pleasing. There is liberal use of gum arabic highlighting in the vegetation, as well. As it stands now the print measures 11 1/8" by 15 5/8" (16 1/4" by 20 1/2" framed). It is not laid down, and other than the trimming, has only mild paper oxidation. It comes in a 19th century gilt frame. I removed it from the frame for photography as there is heavy tape residue on the glass, making that photography difficult. Rematted, and in the old frame, this will be a most attractive addition to your walls. INCLUDING OTHER CURRIER & IVES EXAMPLES.
