This is a watercolor with subtle pencil outlining on heavy quality paper, 20 3/4" by 14 1/2" inside the innermost of three mats and 34" by 27" in its white, signed at lower right "E. Heywood-Norris". I have googled the name and find an Eleanor Heywood-Norris of Ipswich, Massachusetts, who appears to be the artist. According to information online, Heywood-Norris is also a talented framer. The watercolor image is quite complex and is obviously by a talented hand. Circles are mixed with squares, triangles, rectangles and other geometric shapes in a truly complex pattern, all executed in mellowed harmonious colors. Obviously, great care was taken by the artist in both concept and execution. Condition of art and frame is excellent.
