For the Currier collector, here is a nicely colored example of the print "The Old Oaken Bucket" of the year 1872. It is of the small folio size, 10 5/8" by 13 5/8" (12 1/2" by 15 1/2"). The hand coloring is of above average quality and very bright still, though as with many Currier prints, there are water stains and browning in the margins. The image area itself is quite clean however. The poem underneath the title: "How sweet from the green mossy brim to receive it, As poised on the curb it inclined to my lips, Not a full gushing goblet could tempt me to leave it, Though filled with the nectar that Jupiter sips."
