Oil on canvas, 18" by 25" (19 1/2" by 26 1/2" as framed) signed lower left "F. Glyndon". This is a nicely painted landscape of the edge of the forest, with pink blossoms on one of the trees. For a long time I did not see that this was a listed artist, but recently information has surfaced on the net to the effect that he was an artist who was born in England and worked in America later in life. Glyndon lived in Alameda, California early in the 20th century and works by his hand created when he was there have surfaced in the market. Some paintings have recently sold at auction, one, of a night scene in winter, at $1,400. Condition: there is extensive craquelure especially at upper left with a small actual paint loss.
