Original simply framed pencil signed lithograph black/white print, 7 3/4" by 11" inside the mat, circa 1925, titled "Nelle-la-Vallee, la route", by the famous and important French modern artist MAURICE de VLAMINCK (1876-1958). Vlaminck is known as a Fauvist and later simply as an expressionist. At auctions, Vlaminck's works in oil bring from the low hundreds of thousands of dollars to the low millions. He was a formidable presence in the French art scene during the first half of the twentieth century, a contemporary of Derain, Matisse, Cezanne and other giants. See the net for much more on this major artist. Provenance: Acquired in Camden, Maine from an estate which contained a number of signed prints from the Associated American Artists. CONDITION: Minor soiling is evident as seen in photos. Not examined out of the frame. **DESCRIPTION IS INCOMPLETE AND PHOTOS ARE TEMPORARY, ask for details**. .
