Oil on wood panel, 8" by 4 1/8" (11 1/4" by 7 1/2" as framed) unsigned, the subject the iconic saguaro cactus of the southwestern American desert at sunset. Because that species of cactus grows naturally only in Arizona, we can assume that this is indeed an Arizona scene. The painting's style reminds me of that of an obscure painter by the name Robert Six, whose works I have seen from time to time. It might be my imagination but I believe I see a small number "6" at lower left bottom near the barrel cactus. Regardless of authorship, the little painting is a fine representation of the great Southwest. It reminds me a bit of works by the artist Willard Page (and see one by him in my shop). Condition is excellent and this is ready for the wall. .
