Oil on canvasboard, 16" by 12" (19 1/2" by 15 1/2" as framed), the subject trees in flaming autumn colors along a quiet dirt forest road, signed at lower right "P.L. King", no date but likely circa late 1940's or 1950's. For a time I had thought it possible that this was a work of the noted American impressionist PAUL KING (1867-1947) but I no longer believe that to be the case, so I am offering it as simply an interesting impressionistic landscape. The painting is in a gold frame and could hang on a wall as is or could perhaps be freshened up with a cleaning and varnish. There's a faint rubber stamp on the reverse from a Spaulding Moss Co., Boston Mass. ("Everything for the Artist"). SEE HUNDREDS OF PAINTINGS AND PRINTS IN MY SHOP.
