For the decoy collector or outdoors enthusiast here is a contemporary work, beautifully and sensitively hand painted with amazing detail in the feathering. The bird measures at the extreme dimensions about 17" by 7" by 13". Made of plaster, it is a most realistic work. The webbing of the feet, the delicate breast feathers----all details were most carefully attended to by the artist, MARK YOUNG. I have looked online for information relating to him but to date have not located him. The work is numbered 1 of 15. Most certainly, when issued, it was a high priced item. The condition is excellent. This is a really unusual item, which came from the home of a high society, Ducks Unlimited member in Beverly Hills. The home was filled with other wildlife and sporting art. A number of watercolors of wildfowl acquired at that home are also on my site. .
