Painting on board, 17 1/2" by 19 7/8" (24" by 28" as framed), signed at lower right "BIZLEY" (artist RICHARD BIZLEY, 1959-, of Dorset, England). Auctions of items relating to natural history are seeing intense interest from museums and individuals, and record prices are set regularly. This highly detailed and imaginative work brings the viewer to the Jurassic period (206 to 144 million years ago) with its depth and imagery. A Brontosaurus pulls down a tree while feeding, at the base of a wonderful dream-like waterfall in an expansive landscape. The artist was born deaf in 1959, but has developed his visual sense and imagination to an amazing degree to compensate. He works out of Lyme Regis, England, creating models and two dimensional painted artworks of space, science fiction, and prehistory. The work is in excellent condition and is ready for the wall. Allow for reflections in some images. .
