Victorian 1850s Steel Cut Beaded Reticule Purse Drawstring Bag

Here we have an authentic 1850s - 60s Victorian purse , steel cut beaded bag

The bag came out of an estate in Connecticut . I was told upon purchasing the "lot" of bags, that the estate was of 3 sisters and they made the bags ( I have several all slightly different ) . This makes sense to me as there are 3 of a couple of types .

The bag is done well . It has 4 bands brown, blue, brown , blue that have a beaded design.

The bag has a design in the strand tassels and a silk drawstring top .It is lined in muslin

The bag is 4.5" x 4.25" , the tassels hang another 1.5" from this .

The condition is pretty good ,it has a little wear at top drawstring on edges of both . There is a small steel wire sticking out of bottom ( see pics)

The bag has a " Been in the attic for a 100 yrs " smell. It's not overpowering but its there .
