1880s Victorian Purse Leather & Brocade Silk Lined 5 3/4 x 5"

Here we have a lovely example of a Victorian Ladies Day Purse from the 1890s / 1900

This lovely little purse is made of a brown floral brocade with tan leather front and back , it has an Arts and Crafts feel , there are small brass studs on a fold f that is the front of a small outer pocket , the handles are a twisted silk with little tassel decorations . The interior is a bright royal blue silk and has a small pouch.

The purse is 5 1/2' x 5" body / 10" total length with straps

The condition is nice for its age , it is a bit dirty and one of the tassels looks to have been retied
