This is a cute metal brooch in the shape of an egg with a hand-painted enamel design. This brooch fits right in with the tradition of decorating eggs for Easter. The background is pink with a criss-cross gold tone striping and white flowers with green leaves.

The brooch measures 2 1/4 inches high, 1 1/2 inch wide, and 3/4 inch deep. The pinback is in good working condition.

This brooch is shiny, and it was difficult to get pictures without some light reflecting. Although the brooch has some minor surface scratches, which seem greatly magnified in the close-ups, the overall impression when you see the brooch is quite good, and they are not noticeable.

I've had a couple brooches like this one in the past (one was orange, the other pink), and they were the same size, shape, and design, but they were both marked Weiss on the back. However, this brooch is not marked. Regardless of the maker, it's a very pretty pin, most likely dating from the 1960s.
