A gorgeous and very unique flower pot! The artist's conceptualization was to create a flower pot to protect her African Violets, which don't like to get their leaves wet. To achieve this, put the plant and soil into the unglazed portion of the fluted insert. The water is placed into the glazed base and will soak up and into the soil.

This pot features a beautiful woman with deep, soulful, gleaming eyes and luscious lips. The rest of the pot and the ruffled insert feature brown-eyed susans amidst green foliage. The artist intends for your plant to be the "funky hair" of the woman.

You can use this flower pot for other plants as well, including spider plants and Christmas cactus. The holes on the sides of the base are meant for easy access to pour water into the base but it's just as easy to remove the insert.

Signed and dated (1997) by the artist, the pot is 5.75" tall and 8.25" wide. The fluted portion holding your soil and plant is 3" deep. This pot was preciously used only as décor. It is clean and in as new condition without chips, cracks, or crazing.
