Jean Gerbino (1876-1966) is a well known french master ceramicist
He opened a workshop in Vallauris, France in 1930.
He developed a mosaic technique of using small bits of various colored clay
joined in sheets which he formed in molds.
The pieces were then fired with a clear glaze.
