Ichauway Plantation was built at the request of Robert Woodruff (President and CEO of Coca-Cola from 1923-1985) in South Georgia. This 29,000+ preserve, assembled in 1929, was first used as a hunting refuge and was filled with an array of wild birds to include quail and turkey. It's focus changed shortly thereafter to conservation, research and educational outreach.
