Offered for your consideration is a one of a kind and rare presentation Mason’s gavel from the Chicago World’s Fair of 1893. The gavel is engraved: Presented to Chas. V. George W.M. / World’s Fair Master by Jackson Park Lodge #915, A.F. & A.M. Chicago, ILL. This fabulous presentation mallet is in excellent condition. The solid deep colored hard wood gavel and handle are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The mallet has silver plate bands at the top and bottom and the center piece that contains the engraving. There is some wear on the silver plate. It measures just over 10 inches long and the gavel is 3 ¼ inches by 1 ¾ inches in diameter. This rare survivor from the Chicago World’s Fair Columbian Exposition is a fantastic addition to anyone’s World’s Fair or Masonic collection.
