Beautiful "homey" illustrations which depict the reality of childhood (and what your home really looks like with them in it) - and lots of sweet little childlike observations - all done with love and humour by Shirley Hughes.
Contents include: Hiding, Giving, Chatting and Bouncing. 61 pages total divided into four sections.
This hardcover book is ex-library. As such it has been well-thumbed. There are a couple of torn pages (mostly near the spine) that have been mended with clear tape, a library stamp on the front inside cover, and a portion of the picture missing on the inside back cover (see pictures). Part of Meadow Sweet Grove's philosophy is to reuse and recycle items as much as possible. As this is such a well-written book and valuable to childhood, I believe it is worth it to keep this book circulating a little longer - despite its condition. The price has been adjusted to reflect the damage to this much loved book.
