Vintage Brass Hanging Cow Oil Lamp.
-Lamp has peafowl on the hook and on the well closure pin.
-Cow has embossed floral and rope design on body
-Lamp is balanced on the chain to hold the oil well flat
-Chain about 9 inches long
-Lamp would be lit twice a day as part of a prayer routine.
-Heavy hanging linked chain with the peafowl as the hook end
-Lighter weight chain connects the well closure pin to the heavy chain. The connecting rings on the smaller chain have surface rust.

Finish shows items exceptional age, side of cow shows true brass coloring under patina.
No attempts to clean or change the appearance has been done, it has been left for the new owner’s preference.
