Up for sale is an Original Antique Signed Etching by Kruseman Van Elten. Circa 1882.

The etching is of a small house at the shore of the sea. The piece is of an artwork originally done by Hendrik Dirk Kruseman van Elten and is titled "Cottage by the Sea" The etching is hand signed by the artist in pencil in the bottom right corner. The etching is matted and framed in a modern black wood frame.

Hendrik Dirk Kruseman van Elten (November 14, 1829 to July 12, 1904 in Paris) was a Dutch landscape painter, etcher and lithographer. He studied in Haarlem, later with Cornelis Lieste, and later in Germany, Switzerland, Tirol, Brussels and Amsterdam. In 1865 he moved to New York City, from 1870 to 1873, he moved back to Europe and in 1883 he became a member or the National Academy Museum and School.

There is minor wear, abrasions, and surface scratches throughout the frame as seen in the photos. Otherwise the piece is in good condition and still displays beautifully.
