Up for sale is an Antique Glass Fingerbowl likely made in Bavaria. Circa 19th Century.
The bowl has a gorgeous yellow/amber color, there is also a strong green/vaseline color to the glass when the bowl is views at an angle, depending on the angle the bowl appears as wither all yellow amber, all green/vaseline or a mixture of the two. There is an engraved Bavarian coat of arms and the base has a polished pontil mark. The glass is very high quality and was very well made. There are no markings that signify a particular maker. Based on the coat of arms I assume this piece was made in Bavaria, Germany.
There are minor manufacturing imperfections throughout the bowl such as pot rocks, and waves/bumps in the glass. There is typical base wear as seen in the photos. Otherwise the bowl is in great condition and still displays beautifully.
Measurements are approximately:
2 3/4" Tall to Rim.
4 7/8" Rim Diameter.
This is an antique item and may have small manufacturers imperfections which do not affect the display of the piece.
