Large antique British pearlware tureen in the Archipelago pattern in blue transfer by Ridgway & Morley. Marked on the bottom Archipelago Improved Granite China R & M. Circa 1842 to 1844.
Has crazing typical of pearlware, heavy staining mostly to the inside, and a few small chips and flakes to the finial. No large chips or cracks to the body.
Measures approximately 14 1/2 inches long from handle to handle x 8 3/8 inches wide x 9 3/4 inches tall to the top of the lid finial.
