19th Century Sevres Style Hand Painted Courting Couple Cobalt & Raised Gold Box

Pretty porcelain powder box / powder jar / large trinket box. Decorated with a hand painted courting couple scene on the lid framed by gold gilding and raised gold flowers, scrollwork and beading. Has a cobalt blue background. With raised gold flowers and scrollwork around the side of the box and gold bands along the foot rim. With gilt ormolu mounts. Has a hand painted yellow rose on the inside of the lid and in the bottom of the box. Signed T. Luc. Marked on the bottom Chateau de Longpre in red and Made in France in blue. Probably decorated in Paris during the late 19th century.

Has some wear to the gilding on the porcelain and wear to the gilt ormolu, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.

Measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide x 3 inches tall.
