Vintage Men's Classic 1970's Signet Ring With Natural Garnet Gemstone Hallmarked

A classic 1970's men's signet ring. It has a buttercup setting with an oval facet cut natural garnet. The garnet is nice bright colour and shows the light better than many examples and is approx. 1.7 carats. The buttercup mount helps more light come through the stone. The band is plain and has a hallmark from the Birmingham assay office with date letter for 1979. It also has the makers mark L.W & Co.
