Antique Whitby Jet Victorian Mourning Necklace With Carved Beads c.1900

A very attractive late Victorian or Edwardian Whitby jet necklace. It has multi types of bead with tear drops and spiral carved beads. The round faceted beads near the spring ring are French jet (glass). It has a spring ring closure which is working fine. This style of necklace was commonly used as mourning jewellery during this period.

Condition: Generally very good some very slight nicks to the edges. Clasp working fine. The Whitby jet beads are slightly different sizes/shapes due to their hand made nature.
