Antique Victorian Black Mourning Jewellery Necklace Bakelite & French Jet

An antique late 19th century mourning necklace. It has an unusual construction of black bakelite beads interspersed with moulded French jet beads. It has a barrel clasp set with paste stones and made from brass. The necklace has graduated beads but the French jet beads are all the same size. It would date to the late Victorian period when these items were popular.

Condition: Some light scuffs and wear to the beads. The round beads not all perfectly shaped and appear to have been hand finished. Clasp working fine.
