A 19th century Victorian period Scottish bracelet. It is made in the form of a belt buckle which functions as a normal buckle but is made in silver. It has five carved agate panels alternating between banded agate and banded carnelian. The metal is not marked which is typical of the early Scottish pieces. The silver tests as a lower grade compared to sterling, around the 830 level which again is common for these Scottish pieces. It has a fixed safety chain and the links are articulated with jump rings.
