Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold & Lab Created Blue Spinel Ring With Halo Size O1/2

A vintage 9ct gold ring with an intense blue centre stone which is an oval faceted lab created spinel with a halo of clear spinels. As an interesting trick the centre stone glows bright red under UV light. The head is slightly asymmetrically set.

Lab grown stones are identical to natural gems and test the same but they are generally free of impurities and faults unlike mined stones. As they are created in a lab they do not have the environment issues of mined stones or have the worry of social problems making them an increasingly popular choice.

Inside the band it has a hallmark for the Birmingham assay office with date letter for 1973 and is also marked RJG for the maker.
