"Fritz" Kammermayer started as a Professional Decorator with the Julius H Brauer Studio of Chicago in 1908 and eventually would be
both a Decorator and Partner of Mr. Brauer over some 20 years of collaboration. As a decorator, Kammermayer was outstanding in
numerous Florals and Red Currant. Every now and then a piece of his outstanding works will surface in the Chicago Area.
This wonderful Set, from the Chicago Area, is an outstanding Set of 3 Mini Decorative Tankard Steins, each measuring about 3-1/2" tall & about
3-3/4" wide. Each Stein has been exceptionally decorated, on both sides, with outstanding vibrant & lifelike "Red Currant", on stem & leaf, against
a background of shadow leafing & complimenting background colors of Deep Red Brown, Burnt Orange, Cream, Light Cream Blue, & Light Cream
Yellow. Bright fire gold gilding graces the handle, top rim, outer rim, and inner rim. The Set of 3 "Red Currant" Steins were most likely from a Tankard
Set or a Punch Bowl Set.
The outstanding Set of 3 Brauer Studio "Red Currant" Decorative Steins are in excellent condition and totally free of chips, cracks, or other damage.
The bright gilded fire gold is excellent with minor wear on the handles.
The exquisite Set of 3 hand painted "Red Currant" Decorative Steins displays Julius Brauer Mark # 4, which was used from 1910--1916. The
Studio Artist Frederick "Fritz" Kammermayer initialed the base area of the Steins; "F. K."
