The professional China Decorator Artist, Howard Reury, was one of the best known artist during the first 50 years of the 20th century. He started his phenomenal career with the most respected China Decorating Studio of the day, Pickard Studios. He joined the prestigous Chicago Ceramics Art Association, early on, and was an acquaintance of Franz Aulich, another member of the Association. After leaving the Pickard Studios, he operated his own Decorating Studio during the WWI years. Later he decorated for Pitkin & Brooks, the White Art Co., and Wight Studio. He virtually knew every well known artist of the day. As an artist, he was highly known for his fabulous floral & fruit creations. Alan Reed’s Pickard Collectors Book has much more information on this outstanding 20th Century China Decorator, as well as numerous photos of many of his creations.
This is an exceptional example of Howard Reury's outstanding artistic works........a beautiful MZ Austria hand painted Nut Bowl, which measures
8-1/2" long, 7" wide, & 4-1/2" tall. The gorgeous hand painted "Mixed Nuts" Nut Bowls been fabulously decorated with the rich and vibrant colors
displaying a grouping of Nuts in the center portion of the Bowl against complimenting colors of shades of brown and yellow. The four footed "Mixed
Nuts" Nut Bowl displays a scallop rolled over flared top with a richly 3/8" bright gilded gold outer rim...outlined in black....with an outside displaying
a series of nut groupings on all four  sides. The outside of the Bowl displays colors of light cream brown to dark brown and a bold cream yellow
decor. Four flared feet adds to the beauty of this wonderful piece of art.
The gorgeous MZ Austria hand painted vintage "Mixed Nuts" Nut Bowl is in excellent condition and totally free of chips, cracks, or other damage
with the heavy and brilliant fire gold approaching pristine !
