Beautifully presented is this vintage turn of the 19th Century hand painted Limoges France Scenic Rococo Style Charger fresh from an old Louisville, Ky. Estate.
The attractive Limoges Rococo Scenic Charger, which measures 12-3/8" wide, has been exceptionally presented showing a "Lady Journeying Home From the Market". The Lady is shown cutting through a dense forest & crossing a vibrant blue stream with a partial home made bridge and large stepping stone boulders as her path. She appears to have dressed up for this occasion by wearing a red & blue dress with ruffles sleeves, a shaw, hat, her pearls, ......and carrying in her right hand a plump Chicken Hen and in her left hand a basket of goods & fruits and of course her umbrella. The well done detailed Scene has been wonderfully outlined in a heavy Rococo gold outer rim border.......adding to its astonishing beauty.
The gorgeous Limoges hand painted Scenic Rococo Style Charger is in excellent condition and totally free of chips, cracks, or other damage with the heavy Rococo gold border close to being pristine !
The outstanding vintage 1900's Hand Painted "Lady Journeying Home From the Market" 12-3/8" Rococo Scenic Charger has been decorated and signed by the well known French Artist, "Baumy". Additionally, the hand painted Scenic Charger was decorated at the Limoges France Studios of Blakeman & Henderson.
