Gorgeous Lenox Vintage 1900's Hand Painted Floral Silver Overlay Jam Jar
Recently coming out of an old Northshore Suburban Chicago Estate is this wonderful decorated & outstanding vintage Lenox Floral decorated Jam Jar.
Lenox porcelain is well-known in the United States. Walter Scott Lenox and Jonathan Coxon Sr. founded the Ceramic Art Company in Trenton, New Jersey, in 1889. In 1896 Lenox bought out Coxon's interest, and in 1906 the company was renamed Lenox, Inc.. The company makes porcelain that is similar to Irish Belleek. Lenox also produced elaborately painted fish and game sets as well as pieces with sterling silver overlay.
This attractive Lenox Floral Jam Jar, which measures about 3-3/4" tall & 3-5/8" wide, has been beautifully decorated with a heavy Silver Overlay of budding Flowers on both the lid and Jar itself. The decor is set against a beautiful soft Ivory color. Please do review my photos.
The beautiful Lenox Floral Silver Overlay Jam Jar is in excellent condition and totally free of chips, cracks, or other damage with the heavy raised Silver excellent throughout.
The charming Floral Silver Overlay Jam jar displays an early "Lenox" Mark.
