Scarce 14-1/2" Spectacular & Scarce RS Prussia Vintage 1900's "Napoleon Reviewing the Imperial Guard" Scenic Vase
Iconic is this vintage & scarce early 1900 RS Prussia Scenic & hand painted large Red Decor Vase.
The gorgeous RS Prussia Scenic Vase, which measures an impressive 14-1/2" tall, has been wonderfully decorated with the famous Scene of "Napoleon Reviewing the Imperial Guard" at the famous "Bataille à Jena" as painted by the French Artist, Horace Vernet. The decisive & overwhelming defeat of Frederick William III of Prussia & the Prussian Army subjugated the Kingdom of Prussia to the French Empire until the Sixth Coalition was formed in 1812.
Parts of the Napoleon Scene as well as the backside of the Vase have been hand painted. The Napoleonic Scene is centered against a vibrant Red background, both top and bottom, with detail and heavy gold scroll. The two large gilded gold handles adds to the beauty of this impressive piece of Art.
The wonderful RS Prussia Napoleonic Scenic Vase is in excellent condition and totally free of chips, cracks, or other damage with the gold being excellent with some light wear.
The outstanding early 1900's "Napoleon Reviewing the Imperial Guard" Scenic Vase displays the scarce RS Prussia Mark; "Frederick II". Additionally the wonderful Napoleonic Scene is marked "Bataille à Jena".
