Outstanding 1920's Hand Painted "Conventionalized Flowers" 12-3/8" Floral Tray
Fresh from the Chicago Area comes this beautiful vintage 1920's unmarked hand painted Floral Tray.
The beautiful hand painted Floral Tray has been decorated in the popular "Conventionalized Flowers" style, which
was highly popular between the early 1890's and the 1920's. The Atlas Ceramic Art Club, founded in 1893 along
with members of the Chicago Ceramic Arts Association, founded in 1892, help promoted the Art Deco style of
painting which became known as Conventionalized Flowers Style. .
The is an outstanding example of the 1900's "Conventionalized Flowers" style of painting, which used a variety
of Wild Flowers and extensive groups of colors. The gorgeous hand painted Floral Tray, which measures 12-3/8" wide,
has used a variety of background decor including off-white, iridescent white, light cream yellow, with a heavy fire gilded gold
outer border and rim. The combination of colors, wonderful artwork, and outstanding presentation gives this beautiful Floral
Tray great presence.
The attractive hand painted "Conventionalized Flowers" Floral Tray is in excellent condition with the heavy fire gold better
than excellent throughout.
