Spectacular 1900's T & V Limoges 1900's Hand Painted "Peach & White Roses" 4-Pc Dresser Set by the Artist, "Ester Miler"
The Artist, Ester Miler, was born Ester Buckingham Horlbeck on March 20, 1861 in Charleston, South Carolina. In the early 1890's she moved to New York City with her husband and children where she began her own business, decorating porcelain. Her talent gained her much attention and Miler was featured in the New York Times in 1896. She died in East Orange, NJ in 1931. Over the years Miler's popularity has increase immensely with collectors due to her wonderful floral presentations, especially Roses.
The beautiful Limoges France hand painted Floral Dresser Set, which includes a Tray [12-3/4" long & 8-1/2" wide], a large Dresser Box with lid [5" Wide & 3" tall], a small Dresser Box, with lid [3" wide & 2" tall], and a 3-ball-footed Pin Dish [3-1/4" wide & 1-1/4" tall], have been lavishly & extensively decorated with large & lifelike "Peach & White Roses" on stem & leaf against a background of shadow leafing and background colors of of creme, creme Peach, and creme green. Heavy fire gold gilding graces the two cut out handles and outer rim and the rim and mini-feet of the Pin Dish.
The attractive Limoges "Peach & White Roses" Dresser Set is in excellent condition and totally free of chips, cracks, or other damage with some very light age wear.
The exquisite "Peach & White Roses" hand painted Dresser Set displays a "T & V Limoges France" mark with all pieces except the Tray signed by the Artist, "E. Miler".
