The beautiful hand painted Haviland & Co. Portrait, which measures 9-3/4" wide, displays a reclining Madame Récamier on a fainting couch. The attractive rendition has been outlined in heavy gold & raised blue beading.
The attractive Haviland "Madame Récamier" hand painted Portrait Plate is in excellent condition and totally free of chips, cracks, or other damage with some of the raised blue beading missing. The heavy fire gold gilding is between excellent & pristine throughout.
The hand painted "Madame Récamier" Portrait Plate displays the Haviland mark; "H & Co. L France" and additionally red script; "Mme. Recamier after Gerard". Additionally, the Portrait Painting has been signed; "S.A.M."
