Gorgeous Osborne Studio of Chicago 1900's Hand Painted Deep "Red Roses" 8-1/2" Floral Tea Pot by Listed Artist, "Asbjorn Osborne"
Osborne Studio started in 1914 in Chicago by founder, Asbjorn Osborne, and soon became one of the top China decorating studios in Chicago, as well as in America. His Studio competed with the best china decorating studios of the day including Pickard, Brauer, Donath, and Stouffer, as well as hundreds of other smaller professional studios. Asbjorn Osborne, as well as some former Pickard Studio Artist, did much of the Studio decorating. A complete section on the Osborne Art Studio can be found in Reed's Pickard Collectors Book and covers Pages 269--275. Many fine photo examples of Osborne Studio works can be found in the book including several similar pieces by Osborne and the Pickard Studio.
This beautiful Osborne Studio hand painted Floral Tea Pot, which measures 8-1/2" tall, has been lavishly decorated with vibrant deep "Red Roses" on stem
& leaf against a background of shadow leafing & background colors of cream, very light cream yellow, light cream burnt orange, & shades of cream blue & cream green. Adding to the beauty of this outstanding are creation is heavy & brilliant fire gold gilding graces the finial, lid rim, rim, inner rim, handle, & spout.
The gorgeous Osborne Studio deep "Red Roses" Tea Pot is in excellent condition & totally free of chips, cracks, or other damage with the heavy & brilliant fire gold near pristine.
The attractive deep "Red Roses" Tea Pot displays the Osborne Studio Mark # 8, which was used starting in 1940 thru 1973.
