Gorgeous Favorite Bavaria Vintage 1900's Hand Painted "Petite Pink Roses" 5-1/4" Floral Sugar Shaker by the Listed Chicago Artist, "E.W. Bieg"

Ms. Elsie Bieg like many of the great Porcelain Decorators of the early 1900’s started her career at one of Chicago’s major Decorating Studios; Frances Studio. In 1915 Ms. Bieg open up her own Chicago China Decorating Studio on the northside of Chicago, called Humboldt Art Studio. The Studio operated from 1915-1928 with the large majority of her creations being Floral & Fruit renderings. Many of her creations were almost exact emulations of popular Pickard creations. To capitalize on her Studio success, Ms. Bieg opened up a retail outlet in downtown Chicago on West Madison Street called the “Madison Art & Gift Shop”, which was quite successful. More information on this wonderful early Chicago listed Artist can be found in Alan Reed’s Pickard Collectors Book including ½ Page dedicated to her Porcelain Decorating Studio, Pages 263-264.

This is an outstanding example of Ms. Bieg's find artistic work............a beautiful vintage hand painted Floral Sugar Shaker with lifelike "Petite Pink Roses" on stem & leaf against a background color of cream and brilliant, near pristine, fire gold decor on the top and at the base. Both sides of the Sugar Shaker have been decorated.

The beautiful hand painted Bavaria "Petite Pink Roses" Floral Sugar Shaker is in excellent condition & totally free of chips, cracks, or other damage.... with the heavy brilliant fire gold near pristine with a very minor & insignificant glaze skip.

The "Petite Pink Roses" Floral Sugar Shaker displays an early "Favorite Bavaria" mark and has been signed by the listed Chicago Artist, "E. [Elsie] W. Bieg.

The gorgeous "Petite Pink Roses" Floral Sugar Shaker is just perfect for a Kitchen counter or Kitchen Table.
