Gorgeous Vintage 1900's Hand Painted of "Louise Henriette of Bourbon, Duchess of Orléans" 9-3/8" Portrait Hand Mirror by the Artist, "J.M. Wattier"

Louise Henriette de Bourbon (1726 – 1759), Mademoiselle de Conti at birth, was a French princess, who, by marriage, became Duchess of Chartres (1743–1752), then Duchess of Orléans (1752–1759) upon the death of her father-in-law. On 4 February 1752, her husband became the head of the House of Orléans, and the First Prince of the Blood (Premier prince du sang), the most important personage after the immediate members of the royal family.
Though passing at the young age of 33, the Dutchess Louise Henriette, has often been depicted in famous paintings over the years.

This is a fine example of a Hand Mirror displaying the 17th Century Dutchess Louise Henriette. The Artist has significant added to the transfer portrait by highlighting and painting parts of the dress and scenic background. The hand mirror Portrait has been signed by the Artist, "J.M. Wattier".
The Portrait Hand Mirror measures 9-3/8" long with the Portrait insert measuring 3-1/2" long by 2-5/8" wide.

The Portrait Hand Mirror is a fancy brass color with very fine detailing. The mirror, itself, is in good condition with minor silver loss.

There is no noted damage on the hand mirror that I can see.

The attractive Dutchess Louise Henriette Portrait Hand Mirror is perfect for a vanity, bath, or dresser.
