Delfina Potocka, née Komar (March 1807 – April 2, 1877), who was a Polish Countess, was noted for her beauty, intellect and artistic gifts. In her youth she was a piano student of Chopin's. Delfina Potocka was born in Murowane Kuryłowce, Podolia (present day Ukraine) in March 1807. In 1825, just 18 years old, she married Count Mieczysław Potocki (thereby becoming a countess), with whom she had two daughters. Unhappy in her married life, she eventually divorced Potocki moving abroad spending much of her life in Paris.
This is an exquisite unmarked Royal Vienna hand painted example of the young Countess Potocka, most likely in her early 20's, and painted Pre-1900.
