Attractive B & Co. Limoges France & Pickard Studio of Chicago 1912 Hand Painted "Encrusted Fruits" 10-7/8" Plate by the Listed Artist, "Nesha Tolpin"
The Pickard Artist, Nesha Tolpin emigrated to the U.S. from Russia in 1907. Tolpin immediately started working for the Pickard Studio of Chicago and was well known for her meticulous and detailed decorating. After her career at Pickard she went to work decorating for the Rivir Studio of Chicago. Alan Reed in his Pickard Collectors Book displays over 1/2 dozen photographs of Tolpin's outstanding decorating.

The attractive Pickard "Encrusted Fruits" Plate is in very good condition and totally free of chips, cracks, or other damage with the extensive and heavy gilded gold far better than excellent.
The exquisite hand painted "Encrusted Fruits" Plate displays a double mark; "B & Co. Limoges France" and Pickard Studio of Chicago Mark # 7, which was use from 1912--1918.
