Gorgeous Pickard Studio of Chicago 1900's Hand Painted "Red Currant" 5-3/4" Saucer by the Listed Artist, "C. Hahn"
Charles Hahn was one of Pickard Studio of Chicago earliest Artist, working for the world famous Chicago Studio from 1898 to 1905. Hahn was noted for his Floral creations including Rose Garlands, Colored Tulips, and of course Red Currant.
Later in his career Hahn decorated for one of Pickard’s rivals, the White’s Art Co.
This beautiful Pickard Studio, early 1900's Saucer, has been decorated with vibrant lifelike "Red Currant" against a background of shadow leafing and background colors of cream yellow, cream brown, deep red brown, and hints of light cream blue and light cream lavender. The outside rim has been heavily gilded in brilliant gold adding to the Saucer's beauty.
