The Weisley China Co. was an early 1900's Michigan China Decorating Studio which successfully competed with the well known D'Arcy China Studio of Kalamazoo, MI. Weisley China employed several highly skill artist, the most prominent being Hencke.
The beautiful hand painted Ewer was decorated by the Studio decorator, "Leo". The bulbous Ewer measures 5" tall & a large 12-1/2" around and has been decorated with large and lifelike "Wild Pink & White Roses" on stem and leaf against a background of shadow leafing and a background color of crème. Heavy gilded gold has been added to the top rim handle, and flared base. The artwork, the colors, and the presentation are all outstanding.
The Wild Roses Ewer is in excellent condition and totally free of chips, cracks, hairlines or other damage.
The Ewer is marked "Weisley China Hand Painted" and signed by the Studio Artist, "Leo".
