Rare Vauxhall Glass Antique Georgian Victorian Festoon Girandole Necklace, Black Vauxhall Circa 1800s to 1900s

An antique Vauxhall glass necklace in impeccable condition. The glitter and aesthetics of this necklace is almost overwhelming. Outstanding Statement piece!
This piece glittered and twinkled in a candlelit ballroom , gracing the neck of its wearer over 100 years ago, setting her apart from the rest. It will still have this effect today

Vauxhall glass ( so named after a glass manufacturing district London) was made during the 18th to 19th Century between the Georgian to Victorian era.
This glass is referred to as a gemstone by collectors and it is one of the rarest type of glass to come across. These are rarely seen on the market, and in terms of this necklace, the only such extravagant example I've come across.

This is not to mistake for French Jet. Vauxhall glass is a mirrored glass( hence its phenomenal reflective quality) and had a special process of manufacturing while it was also backed in silver.
The silvered mirrored backings were then finished with black or gold lacquer. The jewelry was usually set in brass with black lacquer as well.
This necklace has all authentic characteristics.

The design on this piece.
The craftmanship is delicate yet strong and substantial. This is piece is 100% intact for being about or over 200 years years old.
Multiple swags are connected to floral motifs whose petals are shaped like hearts.
The slinky construction drapes perfectly and effortlessly on the neckline while this mirrored glass twinkle and sparkle at every delicate movement.

Measurements

Necklace weighs 68.9 Grams.

It has a wearable length of about 17.5 inches.

Length of the drape is 5 3/4 inches.

Larger Flowers are close to 1 inch across.

Closes with a secure box clasp.

This is in most wonderful collectible condition and can be worn or cherished as a display piece.
