A Gorgeous Antique Georgian Regency Period [1811-1820] Pinchbeck Gold Large Link Long and Chunky Rolo Chain and Citrine Paste Glass Seal Fob Pendant Necklace.
This gorgeous antique Georgian Regency period [1811-1820] Pinchbeck Gold chunky Pendant Necklace features a large link long Rolo Chain (no clasp, it simply fits over the head) with a stunning Pinchbeck Gold Rococo style Seal Fob Pendant with a large inset foil backed Yellow Citrine Paste Glass Gemstone with a bevelled edge.
The Seal is not engraved which means that it was specifically designed to be worn as a Pendant as was the fashion of the day.
Pinchbeck is a form of brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, mixed in proportions so that it closely resembles gold in appearance. It was invented in the early 18th century by Christopher Pinchbeck.
It has a long length of 36" and each large link has a diameter of 4mm, the Pendant measures 3.5cm x 2.2cm. The Necklace weighs a heavy 52.2g. It is in excellent antique condition as shown and is very wearable.
We strive to describe and photograph all of our items clearly and truthfully. Unless otherwise stated, our vintage and antique jewellery is not cleaned. This is due to many requests for vintage jewellery to be left in it's original condition. If you have any questions about this item then please don't hesitate to contact me prior to purchase... Thank you.
