Small painting of a Georgian gentleman in oils or similar The head is very well painted and very detailed, the clothing is ok and the background as can be seen fairly basic. Having said that it is typical of a miniature of that period.
It is in a black wooden frame that measures 4 1/4 inches by 3 1/2 inches. There are two splits one to each edge, that do not affect the painting and are difficult to see.
